    Finbricks provides a showcase multibanking application and a demo version of the Whitebricks payment gateway. The platform is built on a custom backend and supports dedicated back-office applications with a shared frontend framework. These include the Admin Console for client management and the Merchant Portal for merchants using Finbricks services.

    Both demo applications allow potential clients to explore the main product, test the payment gateway and provide early feedback.

    Finbricks couldn’t easily demonstrate the functionality of their solution to potential customers. Although they had a quality backend with innovative features, they lacked a modern frontend.

    This absence of representative tools fundamentally limited the business potential and hindered the expansion of their services in the market.

    The original interface was created in collaboration between internal and external developers without specialized UX/UI skills. This led to complications not only in the visualization of key functions. The main goal was to provide services in the form of redesign, UX/UI improvements, and frontend implementation.

    The work consisted of developing the frontend of the Whitebricks demo payment gateway and the Multibank sample application, including the conversion of all key features into a modern interface. This is what makes the platform easy to use and fully prepared for future growth.

    The main technological challenge was integration with the specific Finbricks API, where the data structure from the backend often did not match the requirements for proper frontend display.

    This is where we utilized the expertise of our frontend and UX team, technical knowledge of architecture, and close cooperation with the backend team and the client’s product owner.

    The collaboration was based on a close connection between our UX and development team and the client’s Product Owner. It was not just about ensuring a clear, intuitive environment with ease of use for all applications. It was a comprehensive process starting with an analysis of the API and data flows.

    We then iteratively designed and developed individual digital products. The Whitebricks frontend application, which serves to demonstrate PSD2 payments, and then the Multibank sample application, which clearly visualizes data. This approach also enabled continuous functionality verification.

     

    The solution was to develop a modern frontend for two key applications – Whitebricks and Multibank. These are now used by the sales team to present services and collect feedback.

    Work began with the demo frontend for Whitebricks which allows potential clients to see how a real payment flow operates.

    Next came the redesigned multibanking frontend that demonstrates how the future merchant-facing product could look. The interface includes all key features such as cashflow and balance visualizations, frequent counterparties and detailed transaction filtering.

     

    Each application required a redesign, UX improvements, frontend implementation and careful API integration. Close collaboration between our frontend and UX teams, the client’s Product Owner and the backend team ensured smooth data flow and resolved API inconsistencies.

      Electricity sharing has only recently become possible in the Czech Republic. New legislation enables households and businesses, such as owners of rooftop solar PV, to share surplus electricity with selected consumption points in near real time.

      E.ON was looking for a delivery partner capable of building a production-grade digital product quickly and integrating it with a complex ecosystem of internal and external systems.

      Challenges

      Electricity sharing entered the market without established processes, technical standards and user expectations. The solution had to translate the entire concept into a functional and understandable digital form. Key systems were at varying levels of technical maturity and often without a standard API. It was necessary to analyze integration options, define integration criteria and design a sustainable integration approach.

      Speed ​​was also essential. The MVP had to be created within a fixed deadline so that E.ON could actively open the new market and start acquiring its first customers. The project required the design and alignment of new processes across the organization, from data work to administration to platform operation. It was not just about developing an application, but about creating a functional operating model.

      E.ON Propojeno is an innovative web platform, the first of its kind in the Czech Republic. It simplifies the entire process of electricity sharing and completes the missing “customer layer” above the technical infrastructure of the market.

      The key added value is the automation of steps that would otherwise entail a significant administrative burden. The connection was built from the beginning on integrations with internal and external systems (e.g. SAP, EDC, DMS, etc.). The delivery included continuously maintained documentation that unified the tasks across teams and minimized scope creep and communication noise.

       

      The platform was designed from the beginning to handle the gradual expansion of the number of users, the involvement of other entities, and the future development of functionalities in connection with the development of the electricity sharing market.

      Together with the client, we defined a product strategy, key scenarios and a minimum scope that would allow for rapid validation of the new market.

      During the first two months, alpha versions and prototypes were created, which underwent UX testing and set the direction for further development. This took place in sprints with continuous alignment of the product, design and technology teams and parallel preparation of integrations to key systems.

      The solution was prepared for verification in a real environment, including setting up processes for long-term operation and further development of the platform.

      Results & impact

      Within 6 months, we delivered an MVP of a digital platform that enabled E.ON to enter the new electricity sharing market with a functional and scalable product.

      • Fast time-to-market: MVP in production in 6 months (alpha version after 2 months).
      • Scalable foundation for development: the solution is ready for further expansion of functions and a growing number of users.
      • Connection to the E.ON ecosystem and other services: 9 integrations implemented to ensure operational functionality.

        The upgrade of the VVDiamonds e-shop required the preservation of all existing functionalities and their precise migration to a new technological foundation (WordPress), which will enable the smooth development of the e-shop.

        Parts of the original system had to be rewritten to work in the new editorial environment. This was preceded by a detailed mapping of the website content – both frontend and backend. It was important to identify specific exceptions in functionality, existing usage scenarios, but also hidden logic, which we unraveled in collaboration with the client.

        The project also included the implementation of new features in the administration that will simplify the client’s use of the e-shop, whether it involves processing orders, invoicing, or the ability to edit content without the intervention of a developer.

        On the VVDiamonds project, we started with a thorough analysis of the existing solution so that we could safely transfer all functions to a modern platform with the ability to manage content by the client.

        We have prepared a new user interface with dozens of content blocks and intuitive controls that work without restrictions and on all devices.

        Thanks to a well-thought-out solution, the client can edit the vast majority of the website content themselves, without the complicated task of submitting changes to developers and the costs of their execution.

                From the first analysis to launch on both the App Store and Google Play, our team delivered a lightweight but robust solution. The frontend was built using React Native, enabling fast deployment across iOS and Android.

                Frontend aplikace je postaven na React Native pro snadnou multiplatformní distribuci. Backend zajišťuje klientův WordPress portál s REST API, které jsme využili pro autentizaci i správu hlášení. The backend runs on the client’s existing WordPress platform, with a custom REST API for authentication and report management.

                This setup offers efficiency, transparency, and low operating costs — while staying ready for future expansion.
